At The Laundry Room, we use an onsite Ozone generator by ArtiClean.

WHAT IS OZONE WATER? 

Ozone is oxygen (O2) with an extra atom of oxygen attached (O3). This transformation occurs by applying an electrical charge to O2 which is then dissolved into the cold water supply to our washers.

WHAT DOES OZONE DO?

Ozone has about 3000x the oxidizing power of bleach! That 3rd atom of oxygen is what makes ozone such a powerful cleansing and sanitizing agent.  Ozone goes to work instantly, oxidizing and destroying viruses, bacteria, mold and other pathogens.  As ozone oxidizes, it opens up fibers in your laundry, breaking down and releasing dirt, grease and odors.  Ozone has long been used in hospitals, hotels, and water bottling plants as the preferred sanitation method.  Our system is CDC approved for use in healthcare laundry!

IS OZONE GOOD FOR THE PLANET?

Absolutely! 

Ozone is most effective in cold water, saving energy, reducing natural gas usage, and reducing our carbon footprint.  The cleansing power of ozone reduces the need for chemical additives, bleach, and detergent.  Its been proven to clean clothes just as effectively with 75% less or even no detergent!  Thats a lot less chemicals going into our waste water, water supply, and oceans. After ozone has done its job, it loses that third atom and simply returns to the natural oxygen we breathe.
